Louise Jones, 98, of Kingdom City, was called home on Friday, June 27, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born November 29, 1915, in McCredie, Mo., the daughter of the late John J. Atkinson and the late Lillie Mae (Graves) Atkinson. On January 15, 1936, Louise was united in marriage to Cass Ewens Jones. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1999. Louise had a great love for her church, family, and community. She was a member of McCredie United Methodist Church, where she played the organ until she was 97 years old. Louise's memory will be cherished by her family including son, Kenneth Jones (Betty), of Kingdom City; daughters, Aliene Keesling (Dwight), and Sherry Perkins (Billy), all of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Julie Price (Mark), Justin Jones (Donna), Jeff Jones (Tara), Tammy Honickman (Neal), Rebecca Mohr (Ken), Robert Palmer (Candace), Sandra Wald (Paul), and Alan Schaeffer; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with Pastor Fred Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m., until the time of service. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
