Dorothy May Butcher Warden, 85, of Fulton, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Fulton Manor. She was born October 23, 1927, in Russellville, Mo., the daughter of William L. and Maud E. (Richardson) Butcher. She was united in marriage to George Warden on October 23, 1948, in Callaway County. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2012. Dorothy worked at Western Auto as a clerk and also South Callaway Public Schools in food service. She enjoyed playing cards and collecting cookie jars, and raising ornamental chickens. She was active in bringing utilities into Callaway County. Dorothy was known as the Granny of Ranger Hall. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary Warden and his wife Mary of Fulton and Dorothy Lee Kleindienst and husband David, also of Fulton; five grandsons, Daniel Kleindienst and wife Camilla of Tennessee, Randall Kleindienst and wife Christine of Fulton, Eric Kleindienst of Fulton, Gabriel Warden of Columbia, and Christopher Warden and wife Heather of Minnesota; two sisters, Abbie Akers of Fulton and Opal (Richard) Salmons of Fulton; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 11 brothers; and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, at the funeral home.
