Lyle William Hill

Lyle William Hill, 72, of Rhineland, passed away at his home on Friday, March 22, 2019. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on October 31, 1946, the son of the late John Ernst Hill and the late Shirley Mae Charlotte (Becker) Hill. A St. Louis native, Mr. Hill was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, after he left the service the family moved to Florissant in the early 1950s. Lyle was united in marriage to Virginia Kyle (Sulcebarger) Hill on June 28, 1969. She survives his passing. A 1964 McCluer High School graduate, Lyle proudly served his country in the United States Army. Before and after his service he attended the University of Missouri-Rolla as a co-op student, graduating in 1972. Prior to retirement he worked in nuclear power plant construction as a pipe hanger specialist for Bechtel Corp., ITT Grinnell Corp., and Wright Schuchart Harbor Co. Lyle will be fondly remembered by his wife and brothers, Norman E. Hill (Linda Grimm) of North Bend, Ore., Wayne A. Hill of Salem, Ore., and John M. Hill of Fulton. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Bethel United Methodist Church in Readsville. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Inurnment will be in Bethel Cemetery.
