Wanda Mae Lockett

Wanda Mae Lockett, 88, of Fulton, passed away at River City Living Center in Jefferson City on Saturday, June 8, 2019. She was born on December 14, 1930, in Fulton, the daughter of the late Martin Lyle and the late Mary Zelma (Calvin) Lyle. Wanda was married to Paul Lockett on May 27, 1949. He preceded her in death on August 2, 2006. Wanda retired from Fulton State Hospital where she worked as a cook. She was a member of Heartland Church of the Nazarene. Wanda enjoyed going to the beach and traveling to the southern states. She was a good hearted person who enjoyed visiting with people. She also loved animals. Those remaining to mourn her passing include son, Larry Lockett of Fulton; daughter, Anita Atterberry (Roger) of Fulton; granddaughter and caregiver, Shelly Basnett; granddaughter, Kimberly Basnett; grandchildren, Brendon Crabill, Kaitlin Clark, Zachary Welch, Shyan Clark, and Shayla Basnett; and great-granddaughter, Brinley Martin. In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by brother, Martin J. Lyle; and grandson, Shawn Basnett. Private graveside services will be held.
