Mary Frances (McClellan) Sprout, age 96, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019, at Fulton Manor Care Center in Fulton. She was born January 16, 1923, in Portland, Missouri to Lonie G. (Tate) McClellan and Marion Davis McClellan. On September 15, 1945, she was married to Elmer E. Sprout. One son, Elmer W. Sprout, was born to this union. She worked for Kroger for 10 years and Lemay Bank in St. Louis two and one half years. Mary Frances's main interests were working with Missions and served as President of Missions at the Nazerene Church, where she was also a member. She was a Boy Scout Leader, she enjoyed gardening and sewing. All her life was spent living in Missouri, until 2000, she moved to Tennessee to be near her family. Her great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Christine Sprout; two grandsons, Troy Sprout and his wife, Kimberly, and Dale Sprout; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Christopher Sprout, Andrew Tylor Sprout and Lauren Elizabeth Sprout. In addition to her family, she leaves a number of cousins and dear friends in Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 7, 1990; her parents and one sister, Minnie McClellan. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will be at the Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery beside her husband of 44 years.
