Robert "Rob" Christian Krumm, 52, of Chanute, Kan., went to his eternal home on Thursday, September 27, 2018, where he will continue looking after his family and friends, just as he did during his life. He was born to Roger Paul and Sharon Kay (Leech) Krumm in St. Louis, Mo. on March 3, 1966. Rob married Brenda (Schroeder) Krumm on October 24, 1999, in Fayette, Mo. She survives at their home. Rob was a loving family man who lived his life to the fullest and was more generous than most. His son, Alex, was his whole world and Rob loved supporting him in everything, especially his sports teams. Rob was a sports fanatic, and crazy about his Mizzou Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. He arranged large tailgate parties for years and was known for his "Krumm Burgers," which were renowned amongst Alex's friends. Rob loved to travel with family and friends and especially enjoyed beaches during the winter, and Key West, Fla. at any time of the year. Rob attended First United Methodist Church in Chanute and had a strong faith in his personal relationship with God. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Survivors include: wife: Brenda of their home; son: Alex Krumm of the home; mother: Sharon Krumm of Baltimore, Md.; step-mother: Susan Krumm of Fulton, Mo.; brother: Daniel Krumm and wife, Melinda McEndarfer of St. Louis, Mo.; sister: Beth Krumm and partner, John Grissom of St. Louis, Mo.; step-sister: Jane McClellan and husband, Jamie Bowman of Akron, Ohio; in-laws: Max and Wanda Schroeder of Hoisington, Kan.; sister-in-law: Debbie Larkin of Hoisington, Kan.; numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, Kan. To help fulfill Rob's goal of ensuring Alex's college education, memorials have been suggested to the Alex Krumm Education Fund and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to: Countryside Funeral Home 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS 66720.
