Lois F. Williamson, 94, of Fulton, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 25, 2018. She was born on August 22, 1923 in Fulton, the daughter of the late Otho Hudson and the late Mary (Myers) Hudson. During World War II, Lois was united in marriage to David Williamson on October 28, 1944 in Mexico, Missouri. They lived on the family farm east of Fulton for more than 60 years. David preceded her in death on February 20, 2005. Lois was an active member of Unity Baptist Church since 1942, serving as a Sunday School teacher, Bible School Director, and member of the choir. She was active in the Red Star Community Club, and 4-H Leader of the Red Star Rustlers. Lois served on the Advisory Board and County Council for Callaway Extension. Lois graduated from Fulton High School in 1941 and continued her education at Warrensburg State Teachers College. For four years, Lois taught school in Reform. Following that, she dedicated her life to caring for her family. She supported them in everything they did and was always available to lend a hand whenever needed. Lois was a kind and gentlewoman who was a blessing to all who had the privilege to meet her. She will be lovingly missed by one son, Pastor Bruce Williamson (Geri) of Fulton; daughters, Sue Harris, Ann Adams (Earl), Betty Railton (Randy), and Patti Jo Peevy (Jim), all of Fulton; grandchildren, Jim Williams (Trisha) of Ballwin, Mo.; Melody Davies (Bob) of Holton, Kan.; Bob Adams (Kari) of Omaha, Neb.; Rob Railton (Haley) of Fulton;Brian Williamson (Cathy) of Fulton; Glenn Harris of Fulton; Natalie Thacker (Curtis) of Ill.; and Stephanie Mackey (Anthony) of Ill.; and 14 great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Ralph Hudson (Doris); sister, Fern Hawkins (Robert); and son-in-law, Bruce Harris. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Delbert W. Hampton officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until on 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
