Flossie "Marie" Arney

Flossie "Marie" Arney, 87, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Fulton Manor. She was born in Moberly, Missouri on March 25, 1931, the daughter of the late Orb Gravitt and the late Flossie (Gibson) Gravitt. On September 2, 1948, Marie was united marriage to William Arney Sr. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1984. Marie enjoyed sewing, fishing, and an occasional beer. She earned a living as a seamstress and nanny. Her favorite pastime was spoiling her grandchildren. Marie is survived by sons, William Arney Jr. (Donna) of Jefferson City, and Ron Arney (Sammie) of Russellville; daughters, Nona Bezler (Rick) of Fulton, and Nancy Arney Damurea of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; sister, Shirley Branstetter of Moberly; 11 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Guy and Lou Gravitt. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Evergreen Cemetery in De Witt, Missouri.
