Edward Louis Martin

Edward Louis Martin, 75, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at his home. He was born in Butler, Mo. on June 29, 1942, the son of the late Clyde Preston Martin and Evelyn Hilda (Hoffman) Martin. On November 20, 1960, he married Sarah Melinda Carpenter. She survives at their home. Ed enjoyed hunting, tractor pulls and farming. A favorite pass-time was working on VW Bugs. Spending time with his family and grandchildren and visiting with his friends always brought him great happiness. Ed will be dearly missed by his family including his wife, Sarah; sons, Richard Martin (Peggy), and Robert Martin (Beth), all of Fulton; grandchildren, Tiffany Martin (Devin Quick), Steffany Martin (Adam Fischer), Jordan Martin, Kyle Martin, Tyler Adams, all of Fulton, and Cori Martin (Nicole) of Harrisburg, Ashley Tipton (Jeffrey) of Jackson; great-grandchildren, Grayson Myles Fischer, Sophia Rose Martin, Madison Kay Tipton and Sydney Dawn Tipton; brother-in-law, Charles Chancellor of Littleton, Colo.; nieces Jacqueline Ann Chancellor of Brighton, Colo., and Kimberly Chrystene Chancellor of Centennial, Colo.; great-nephews, Liam, Adan and Talon Tracey of Brighton, Colo.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rosemary Lynn Martin, and sister, Hilda Chrystene Martin Chancellor. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Rick Conley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
