Bonnie Hoglen

Bonnie Hoglen, 80, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, at The Timbers, Summit Villa in Holts Summit. Bonnie was born on November 20, 1936, a daughter of the late Leo and Mamie (Manes) Willmeno, in Jefferson City. On September 4, 1953, Bonnie was united in marriage to Raymond Hoglen in Kansas City, Mo., and he survives at the home. Bonnie attended St. Peters Catholic School in Jefferson City. She was a member of the American Legion Post #5 and the Red Hatters Association. She worked as a data entry clerk at the Cole County Court House and retired with Transit Casualty Insurance Company in 2006. Bonnie loved baking and was known as the "Cake Lady". Bonnie is survived by her husband Raymond; siblings: James Willmeno, Herbert Willmeno (Julie), Jane Backes, all of Jefferson City, Betty O'Neal of Fulton and Jackie Surface of Holts Summit; nephews: Jerry Ellis and Dale Ellis, both of Jeffeson City, as well as several other nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Jean Bonnot and Marilyn Bunch; and brothers-in-law: Donnie Backes, Robert O'Neal and Tommy Surface. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Private Graveside service will follow for immediate family at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Callaway County Senior Citizens Center in Fulton, Mo.
