Stephen Carl Vandeloecht, 59, of Steedman, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at his home. He was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on July 13, 1957, the son of the late Harold Rudolph Vandeloecht and Nola "Gertrude" (Dillon) Vandeloecht. Steve loved everything cars, including racing at Capital Speedway and Callaway Raceways, and rebuilding hot rods. An avid outdoorsman, he liked to hunt arrow heads and yellow root. Always looking for a bargain, he could often be found attending flea markets. Time spent with his grandchildren brought many smiles and treasured memories. Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife, Tammy Vandeloecht; mother, Gertrude Vandeloecht of Steedman; son, Dustin Vandeloecht of Fulton; daughters, Nola Dodge of Columbia, Tia Neal (Ryan) of Fulton, and Paige Vandeloecht of Steedman; step-daughter, Lacey Wilcox of Williamsburg; brothers, Bruce Vandeloecht (Nancy) of Portland, and Jerry Vandeloecht (Debbie) of Steedman; sister, Vicky Powers (Kenny) of Steedman; grandchildren, Kayla Neal, Ella Neal, Easton Dodge, and Oaklee Wilcox; and several nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his father, and infant brothers, Denny and Bradford Vandeloecht. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Jim Kimbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Steedman Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Maupin Funeral Home for a fund to be set up for Paige's College Education, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
