Carlos Newton Coffman

Carlos Newton Coffman, 66, of Fulton, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. He was born in Winigan, Mo. on August 25, 1950, the son of the late Willie Lee Coffman and the late Bertha Lenora (Woody) Coffman. Carlos was no stranger to hard work and earned his living in the construction industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, piddling in his garden, and working on his old car. Carlos never missed a chance to play pinochle or BS with his friends. The times most important to Carlos were those spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rebecka of the home; sons, Jimmy Coffman (Sandra) of Auxvasse, Jonnie Coffman (Lisa) of Tebbetts, and Travis Coffman (Tracy) of Fulton; brothers, Truman Coffman (Yvette) Oakley, Kan., and Spencer Coffman of Fulton; grandchildren, Ashley Porter (Adam), Derek Arrowood, Jaynie Coffman, Justin Coffman, Andrew Timbrook (Medea), Austin Coffman, Emily Boling (Parker), Stormy Coffman, Cailee Coffman, and Maddie Coffman; great-grandchildren, Renee Timbrook and Izzymae Coffman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Carlos was preceded in death by sisters, Geraldine and Mary. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor David Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
