Zelda Mae Walker

Zelda Mae Walker, 88, Auxvasse, Mo., passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Mo. She was born May 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Clarence and Agnes (Downey) Upton. Zelda worked at Stride Right Shoe Factory and retired from Square D in Columbia, Mo. She loved spending time with her friends and especially her family. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Bob Walker and his wife Elaine of Auxvasse, Mo. and Daryll Walker and his wife Alice of Auxvasse, Mo.; eight grandchildren, James William Walker, Angela Mae Grohs, Robert Wayne Walker, Robert Lee Walker, Ryan Earl Walker, Crystal Aurora Baumgartner, Nicholas (Nick) Guil Walker and Jacob William Walker; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, one daughter, Tracy Lynn McBurney; two brothers, Clarence Upton and Don Upton; and one sister, Etta Hendricks, preceded her in death. Private family graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the Auxvasse Cemetery in Auxvasse, Mo.
