Christopher Martinez Edwards Sr.

Christopher Martinez Edwards Sr., 40, of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on September 25, 1976, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late David Martin and the late Amelia (Rowser) Edwards. Chris cherished the time spent with his children and family. Those remaining to cherish his memory include sons, Christopher M. Edwards Jr., and Aedan C. Edwards, both of Columbia; daughters, Taelor J. Edwards of Detroit, Mi., and Natiyah L. Hopkins of Fulton; step-daughter, Shanice Clark of Jefferson City; sisters, Tracy M. Edwards (Gloria Richmond) of Fulton, and Kimm L. Jones of Jefferson City; granddaughter, Madisyn A. Edwards; close friend, Ellie Mae Cook; grandmothers, Ella Mae Rowser and Roberta Edwards, Demopolis, Ala.; nieces and nephews, Maurice Edwards, Cortney Lee, Cortez Lee, Danielle Edwards, Verdis Lee Jr., Timothy Buckson, Jr., and Wendell Steward Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Melvin McCaleb officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Evening Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallion, Ala.
