Duane "Keith" O'Neal, 75, of Fulton, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. He was born September 30, 1941 in Reform, Mo., son of the late William Clarence "Jack" and Mabel (Estes) O'Neal. He was united in marriage to Paula Jane Patrick on August 23, 1963, who preceded him in death. He attended Reform School and later worked at Stride Rite, Morgan Machine Shop and Tonanzio's. He served as a deputy on the Callaway County Sheriff's Department for many years. Keith and his wife owned several businesses for over 20 years, including Carrington Auto Sales, Country Mart, Mexican Imports and Keith's Tire Hauling until their retirement. He attended the Carrington Baptist Church and the New Wine Fellowship Church in Fulton. Keith always had a smile on his face and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed casinos, traveling, hauling tires and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Casey Kossman) O'Neal and Tanya (John) Canada of Fulton; one son, Brian O'Neal of Sedalia; one sister, Velma Carrier of Kansas City; and two brothers, Dale (Cathy) O'Neal and Clifford (Sharon Siegel) O'Neal of Fulton. He had seven grandchildren, Brianna Kossman, Nick Hoover, Cole and Kyle Canada, Landon and Logan (Rachel) O'Neal and Alex Bradley; one great-grandchild, Cheylee Hoover; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Greer of Kansas City, Betty Gaumer of Fulton, and Barbara Jean O'Neal of Reform. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Keith's wish to be cremated was honored so a Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the visitation from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Carrington Baptist Church. A meal will be provided by the church after the ceremony. You are encouraged to bring a covered dish or dessert to share. Pastors Thomas Mahaney, Bill Newton and Jonathan Spurlock will officiate the Memorial Celebration of Life.
