Albert Ray Salmons, 89, of Fulton, Mo., passed away on September 2, 2016, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab in Fulton, Mo. Albert was born August 16, 1927, in Fulton, to Vollie and Lucille Shyrock Salmons Sr., and they preceded him in death. He was married to Bernice Maddox on November 22, 1951, in Fulton, and she survives. He served his country in the United States Army from 1945-47 and had worked for many years as a meat cutter at Briggs IGA in Fulton until his retirement in 1992. Albert was a member of Church of God Holiness in Fulton and will be remembered as a true family man who loved the St. Louis Cardinals and buying his children ice cream. In addition to his wife of 64 years, he is survived by sons, Tommy (Vicky) Salmons, Randy (Rachel) Salmons, Ronnie Salmons, all of Fulton and Scott (Jada) Salmons of Ashland, Mo.; daughters, Nancy (Kirby) Harris, Sandy (Alvin "Tinky") Neal and Barbara (Steve) Binggeli, all of Fulton; brother, Joe (Jackie) Salmons of Fulton; sister, Dorothy (Eugene "Cotton") Vaughan of Fulton; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Roy, Ernest, Leo, Glenn and Vollie "Ted" Salmons Jr.; and sisters, Pearl Palmer, Frances Scheilz and Betty Mae Lawrence. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial with military honors will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at the funeral home.
