Sandra Greene

Sandra Lynn Greene, 63, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016, at her home. She was born in Audrain County on November 1, 1952, the daughter of the late Leroy Clare Walters and the late June Lee Mills. On November 3, 2006, Sandy was united in marriage to David Greene. He survives her passing. Sandy worked at the Shoe Factory, Wal-Mart and AP Green where she worked as a Tunnel Kiln Operator. She retired from AP Green in December of 2015, following 39 years of service. During her tenure at AP Green, Sandy was involved with organizing retirement and Christmas dinners, and collecting donations for SERVE, Inc. She enjoyed her flowers, sewing, reading and Dallas Cowboys football. Most of all, Sandy loved watching her grandson play football. Seeing him run down the field gave her much joy and excitement. Sandy had a gracious heart and giving soul and would help anyone in need. Sandy will be missed by her loving family and friends, including husband, David Greene; son, Travis Dean; grandson, Travis Dean Jr.; step-son, Gerald Chambers; three, step-daughters, Kim Brandt, Terry Bryant, and Natalie Russell (Bobby); eight step-grandchildren, Gerald Chambers, Natasha Russell, Trey Russell, Frankeisha Bryant, Ronnicka Bryant, Frank Bryant, Kendall Brandt, and Kennedi Brandt; brother, Jack Walters (Shirley) of Sapulpa, Okla.; sisters, Barbara Stingley (Danny) of Overland Park, Kan., and Karen Unger (Mark) of Mexico; and several step-great grandchildren, nieces, cousins, and friends. Along with her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by brothers, Terry and Thomas Walters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Vernon Clarke and Pastor Craig Snethen officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations are suggested to SERVE, Inc.
