Gerald W. Vaughn, 78, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 3, 1937, in Fulton to the late Ira Vaughn and the late Roxie (Day) Vaughn Gilman. On March 17, 1956, Jerry was united in marriage to Betty (Womack) Vaughn. She survives his passing. Jerry worked at Fulton Implement I. H. dealership and was a logger for many years after that. Those remaining to cherish Jerry's memory include his wife of 60 years; four daughters, Liz Schaefer (Mike), Vicky Maddox, Tammy Vaughn (Mikey), all of Calwood, and Kimberly Fischer (Ron) of Hatton; two sisters, Doris Dudley (Corky) and Mary Lou Giboney (Marvin); one brother, Kenneth Gilman (Almira) of Calwood; 11 grandchildren, Angela Patton, Darrell Lander (Sheli), Debbie Lander, Andy Schaefer, Anthony Schaefer, Matthew Pitt (Kimberly), Jerry Maddox (Janice), Rance Maddox, Terry Powers, Tonya Dehn (Chris) and Aaron Fischer; 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and all Wright Brothers friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Roger W. Vaughn and Gene Vaughn; granddaughter, Jessica Jane Fischer; two great-grandsons, Hunter Matthew Pitt and Kelly M. Dehn; and two brothers, William Vaughn and Richard Gilman. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at New Hope Cemetery with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating.
