David Bryant Ault, age 62, of Aberdeen, Md., passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016, at his home. Born in St. Louis, Mo., he was the son of Barbara (Bahr) Ault of Holts Summit, Mo., and the late Richard Ault. Mr. Ault graduated from Fulton High School in 1971 and received his BA in Religion from Westminster College, Fulton, Mo., in May 1975 and his BS Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Md., in August 1982. He retired in October 2013 as a Physical Therapist from Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, Forrest Hill, Md. He served in the US Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., as a 2LT in the AG Corp from 1975-1977. An active member of Grace United Methodist Church, he was a member of their Only Grace Praise Band. He enjoyed motorcycling and was a member of the AIJ Motorcycle Club, and enjoyed hiking, playing his guitar, Civil War history, golf, tennis, and walking/running his dog Molly. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah (Iley) Ault; son, Bryan Ault and his wife Ashley and children Jordon and Cody of Rising Sun, Md.; daughter, Kelly, affectionately called 'Skookie' by her Dad, (Ault) McGrath of Fayetteville, N.C.; brother, Larry Ault of Ottawa, Ill.; sisters, Susan Kaiser and husband Randee of Holts Summit, and Carolyn Mitchell of Kent, Ohio; his mother-in-law, Betty Brumbaugh of Aberdeen, Md.; brother-in-law, Chuck Iley of Aberdeen, Md.; niece, Kathryn Mitchell of Arlington, Va.; and nephew, Matthew Mitchell of Kent, Ohio. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Charles Iley. Services will be held on July 9, 2016, at Grace United Methodist Church, 110 W. Bel Air Ave, Aberdeen, MD 21001, with visitation from 10:00-11:00 and a memorial service at 11:00. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made in his name to the Grace United Methodist Church or Amedisys Hospice of Greater Chesapeake, 7106 Ridge Road, Suite 100, Rosedale, MD 21237.
