Kathleen Janet Biswell

Kathleen Janet Biswell, 83, of Fulton, Missouri, returned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Kathleen was born on October 23, 1933, in Kirksville, Missouri, to the late Burl and Gladys Rigdon. She graduated from Novinger High School in Novinger, Missouri and she attended Kansas City College and Bible School. She taught school at Kirksville Bible School. On February 3, 1962, Kathleen was united in marriage to Minos Eldred Biswell in Kirksville. Minos preceded her in death in 1983. Kathleen was a homemaker until her husband's death in 1983. After his death, she was a babysitter for a few years. She was employed at the Fulton State Hospital until her retirement. Kathleen is survived by her four children: James (Peggy) of Baker, Montana; Beth (Chris) Combs of Fulton; Kay (Jon) Rasmussen of Auburn, Washington; and Steve of Watertown, South Dakota. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Curtis (Valerie) Biswell of Merriam, Kansas; Alan (Marcey) Combs of Fulton; Christina (Wade) Graf of New Holstein, Wisconsin; Austin Combs of Fulton; Anna Rasmussen, Wesley (Jessica) Rasmussen and Ben Rasmussen, all of Auburn, Washington; Michelle Biswell of Watertown, South Dakota; and Darci Biswell of New York; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is survived by one brother, Kenneth (Margaret) Rigdon of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and a host of extended family and friends. Kathleen Biswell was a member of the Fulton Church of God (Holiness) where she was the church organist for over 40 years. Services for Kathleen Biswell will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the funeral home.
