Milton Lee Collins

Milton Lee "Tim" Collins, 76, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. He was born in Fulton on September 1, 1939, the son of the late Milton Lee Collins and the late Merle (Davis) Collins. On August 19, 1959, Tim was united in marriage to Joyce (Love) Collins. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2002. Tim retired from Fulton State Hospital in 2002, where he worked as a Purchasing Agent, after more than 30 years of service. He loved cars and drove himself once a week to the casino, a pastime he continued to enjoy until his time of passing. Following his retirement, Tim loved to travel. He went on special trips with his son to Spain, Rome, Egypt and the Canary Islands. First and foremost, Tim was a family man and as such his absence will be felt deeply by those who were fortunate enough to share a familial bond. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Tracy Collins (Paul Schankman) of St. Louis, and Tim Forsberg Collins (Alexandra) of Sweden; and granddaughters, Jennifer and Allison Collins of Springfield. Along with his parents and wife, Tim was preceded in death by sister, Norma Collins Shipman; and his faithful companion, Peanut. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton. Condolences may be left for the family at maupinfuneralhome.com.
