Charlsie Faye Pope Humbird, 83, of Greenwood, Ind., departed this life, on Sunday, July 17, 2016. She was born to the late Green Berry Pope Jr, and Charlsie Lee Helton Pope, on July 3, 1933, in Fulton, Mo. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1951. She married Ralph W. Humbird July 6, 1953, in Kansas City, Mo. Faye was employed with A&P and Kroger Grocery stores for 26 years, where she was a member of United Food Care Workers, retiring in 1998. She was a member of both Indian Creek Christian and Kingsway Christian Church in Indianapolis, Ind. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph W. Humbird, and her siblings Mabel Irene, Mary Edith, Lena May, Dorothy Fern, Nancy Roberta, James Dave, Joseph Lee, Mildred Lucille, Arthur William, and John Robert. Faye is survived by her loving children, Brenda Anderson (Ron), Alan Humbird (Lori), Gloria Mitscher (Steve), and Norma Mayhew. 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Jewel Monk (Virgil) of Wendall Ind., Iva Dean Reed of Orinda, Calif., and Ila Jean Bolton of Kingdom City, Mo. A memorial was held Saturday July 23, 2016, at Shirley Brothers Chapel in Indianapolis, Ind.
