Louann Holzknecht

Louann Holzknecht, 72, of Fulton, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Parkside Manor in Columbia. She was born September 27, 1941, in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of the late Louis Shutt and the late Lillian (Habba) Jennings. Louann was united in marriage to William Holzknecht who preceded her in death on January 14, 1998. Louann had a special relationship with her surviving daughter, Beth Holzknecht of Columbia. They were avid antiquers who spent time going to flea markets and gardening together. Louann's hobbies included reading and making crafts. She was a selfless woman who never liked to be in the spotlight but rather chose to shine her light on those she called friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Albert Holzknecht; and sister, Linda Shutt. It was Louann's wishes to be cremated. No services are scheduled at this time.
