Marguerite Wilson Meyer

Marguerite Wilson Meyer, age 90, of Mokane, Mo., departed this earthly life on Thursday, January 12, 2012, at Villa Marie Nursing Care in Jefferson City, Mo. Marguerite was born June 21, 1921. She was married to William F. "Bill" Meyer on June 24, 1939, and he preceded her in death on January 1, 1971. They had five children: Charlie, Sue (Richard) Crisp, Carla, Bruce and Wilson. Marguerite was always active in her church, the school, her Rebekah Lodge and the community. She held several district offices in the Methodist Women's Society and played the piano and organ for church services and Sunday school. She always loved music. Marguerite is survived by her sister, Carol of Warrenton, Mo., first-cousin, Robert (Phyllis) Gentry of Wright City, Mo., cousins, Lorraine Lundquist and Sherry Teske of St. Paul, Minn., eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Wilson, one brother, Arthur, and two grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, January 16, 2012, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Mo., from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services will immediately follow at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mokane Cemetery in Mokane, Mo. Pastor Bruce Williamson will be officiating.
