Delbert Taylor Mirts

Delbert Taylor Mirts, 78, of Fulton, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Boone Hospital in Columbia. He was born April 4, 1933, in Fulton, the son of T. B. and Anna (McKim) Mirts. Delbert served in the U.S. Military for 22 years. He first served in the Air Force and later joined the Navy, from which he retired. He is survived by two daughters, Julie Hardacre and Tina Mirts; grandchildren, Ashley, Tiffany, Alexa, Brittany and Elijah; great-grandchildren, Zacary Taylor, Kaden, Oliva, Dariah and Josiah, all of Calif.; three sisters, Faye Gowin and June Pinkerton of Fulton and Dorothy Norris of Fort Worth; and many nieces and nephews. Delbert was preceded in death by his wife, Pat (Britts) Mirts; parents; one sister; and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2011 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Walter Lockhart officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service. Interment with full military honors will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
