William E Logerman

William E. Logerman, 70, of Auxvasse, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Audrain Medical Center, peacefully surrounded by his family. On October 8, 1961, he was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Millard in Paris. To this union, three loving and caring daughters were born; Elizabeth Ruth Black, Janice Lee Craighead, and Brenda Kay Koontz. Bill started his working career as a farm hand north of Holliday in September of 1961. He continued as a farm hand until he began working for AP Green Refractory of Mexico in August of 1964. He worked for 40 years at AP Green, retiring in April of 2001. His passion was working with wood; creating everything from doll furniture to cradles to Christmas ornaments. He also loved to fish and hunt. But most important was spending time with his family. He is survived by: his wife of 50 years, Ruth Ann Milliard Logerman of the home; his daughters, Elizabeth Ruth Black and husband Kenneth of Auxvasse, Janice Lee Craighead and husband John of Fulton, and Brenda Kay Koontz and husband Lee of Ind.; his grandchildren, William Joshua and Juanita Noble, Jenna Marie Noble, Jeremy Ray Noble, John Clayton Craighead, Susie Lee Craighead, James Lamar Craighead, David Hubert Craighead, Gregory and Amber Sapp, Geoffrey Sapp, and Monica Koontz-Smith; great-grandchildren, Maddison Renee Noble, Savannah Sapp, Olivia Sapp, Loki Koontz Smith, and Willow Smith; and his siblings, Linda and Raymond Smith of Auxvasse, Judy Donaldson of Mexico, and Lewis and J'Teena Logerman of Mexico. Services for Bill will be held Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the Grand Prairie Baptist Church in Auxvasse at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
