Cynthia Kay Garrett

Cynthia Kay Garrett, age 57, of Auxvasse, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, at her home. She was born August 24, 1954, in Greeley, Colorado, the daughter of the late Charles Hundley and the late Mary Lou (Artrup) Finley. Cynthia worked at Gaspers for over 20 years. She also owned her own restaurant, Auntie M's in Auxvasse for 10 years. Cynthia loved crocheting, landscaping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Cynthia will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Shane Garrett of Auxvasse; two grandchildren, Erica Paige Garrett and Haley Peyton Garrett of Auxvasse; one brother, Douglas Hundley and wife, Ruth, of Nevada, Missouri; and one sister, Patty Mahoney of La Porte, Texas. In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Mikel Gene Garrett; and two brothers, Alan Dean Hundley and Stephen Hundley. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Auxvasse Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday at Maupin Funeral Home in Auxvasse.
