Anna 'Dolly' Koziar

Anna 'Dolly' Koziar, age 103, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011, at the home of her daughter, Sally Koziar, in Inverness, Ill. She was born on August 23, 1908, in Smithfield, Ohio. She attended the Ohio School for the Deaf, and graduated from Gallaudet College, the only liberal arts college for the deaf in the world. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen W. Koziar. They moved to Fulton in 1940 and both were teachers at the Missouri School for the Deaf. After her retirement, she moved to Sun City West, Ariz. in 1985 and later moved back to the midwest, living with her daughters. She is survived by her daughters: Rita Mosley (David Mosley) and Sally Koziar (Robert Boccaccio Jr.); her granddaughter, Stephanie Howdeshell (Kenneth Howdeshell); and by two great-granddaughters, Sarah and Julia Howdeshell. Services will be held in Ohio at the family's gravesite.
