Irma Catherine Schuchardt

Irma Catherine Schuchardt, 93, of Auxvasse, died Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. Irma was born August 31, 1917, Willow Creek, Montana, the daughter of Charles William and Katherine "Katie" (Mayo) Lees. She first married Alvin A. Bonney and later married Dr. John A. Owens, who died in 1974. Irma then married Arthur Schuchardt on July 1, 1978, in Auxvasse. He survives. Mrs. Schuchardt worked at the shoe factory and then as a doctor's assistant for her husband, Dr. John A. Owens. For the last 54 years, she was a homemaker. Irma was a member of Love Street Christian Church. Her family was very important and she enjoyed being around them. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Schuchardt of Auxvasse; one son, Donald A. Bonney and wife, Donna of Fulton; one daughter, Nancy Loyd of Mexico; five grandchildren, Darla K. Bullock and husband, Tom of Moscow Mills, Dante John Bonney and wife, Debbie of St. Charles, Dianna Peterson and husband, Tom of Winfield, Rachel Loyd of Mexico and John Loyd of Mexico; nine greatgrandchildren; four greatgreat- grandchildren; three step-children, Carolyn Weigel and husband, Bob of Tucson, Arizona, Gerald Schuchardt and wife, Irma of Tucson, Arizona and Warren Schuchardt of Texas; 12 stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat- grandchildren; and one sister, Rosemary Rose. In addition to her husband, Dr. John A. Owens, she was preceded in death by four brothers; one sister; one son-in-law, Bruce Loyd; one step-son; and one step-daughter. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Arnold Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
