Sarah Elizabeth Phillips

Sarah Elizabeth Phillips, 72, of Mexico, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Boone Hospital Center. She was born October 20, 1938, in Fulton, the daughter of the late Lawrence W. and Elizabeth (Loyd) Sims. On November 22, 2002, she was united in marriage to James G. Phillips, who survives at their home. Sarah had worked for the International Shoe Factory and retired from Callaway Community Hospital. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, watching wildlife, watching the boys race and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, C.D. Graves and his wife Heather, of Fulton, and Sid Graves and his wife Darla, of Fulton; four grandchildren, Kyle and Cierra Graves, Cole Graves and Kim Martin and her husband Chris, all of Fulton; and one brother, Loyd Sims and his wife Eva, of Morristown, Tennessee. Her parents preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with Reverend Mike Crowson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will be held at Millersburg Cemetery.
