Martha A. Drennen Smith-Kirk

Martha A. Drennen Smith-Kirk, 90, of Fulton, passed away Friday, June 10, 2011, at Callaway Community Hospital. She was born April 15, 1921, in Hillsboro, Missouri, the daughter of the late William Augusta and Blanche Stella (Gibbons) Drennen. On August 20, 1945, she was united in marriage to Harry E. Smith, and he preceded her in death on January 29, 1973. On April 7, 1976, she was united in marriage to Charles Kirk, who survives. Martha had worked for Samuel Shoe Factory. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulton. She enjoyed yard sales, camping and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter, Carol Sue Gilman and her husband David, of Auxvasse; three grandsons, David Christopher Gilman and his wife Kathy, of Auxvasse, Shawn William Gilman and his wife Elizabeth, of Auxvasse, and Aaron Wade Gilman and his wife Jennifer, of Auxvasse; two great-granddaughters, Mikaela Renae Gilman and Alana Marie Gilman; one great-grandson, Eziekel Gary Gilman; two sisters, Leola Null and her husband, Norman Sr., of Desoto, and Linda Hance of Mill Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents; husband; three brothers, George Drennen, Charles Drennen and Paul Drennen; and four sisters, Delcy Beam, Elenora Keefe, Doris Null and Georgia Drennen, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with Pastor David Mueller officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will be held at the Auxvasse Cemetery.
