Harold D. Keely

Harold D. Keely, 81, Centralia, Mo., passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011, at his home. Harold was born March 10, 1930, in Mokane, Mo., the son of the late Alfred and Opal (Beatty) Keely. On January 27, 1952, he was united in marriage to Anita Krebs. Harold served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a Senior Process Analyst for A.B. Chance Co. until his retirement on March 1, 1995. He was a member of the Centralia Masonic Lodge #59, Shriner's International, and American legion Post 1000. He was the Past International Director of The Lion's Club International. A Lion since 1973, he was a member of the Mexico Lions Club where he served as Club President, Zone Chairman, Deputy District Governor and District Governor. He also served on several Multiple District committees and six years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation. For his contributions, he received a Membership Key Award, the 100% District Governor's Award, the International President's Award and the Ambassador of Goodwill Award, the highest award presented by the Association. In addition to his wife Anita of 59 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Kevin Keely and his wife Vicky of Louisiana, Mo.; one daughter, Cynthia Reams of Columbia, Mo.; one brother, Jerry Keely of Jefferson City, Mo.; five grandchildren Erin, Kristi, Michelle, Derek and Bradley; one great- grandchild, Reggie; other relatives and many dear friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, Mo. Interment will be in the Mokane Cemetery in Mokane, Mo. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, Mo.
