David N. Lehenbauer, 66, of Auxvasse, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011, at his home. He was born in Philadelphia, Mo., on July 10, 1945, the son of the late Elmer and Lorene (Norris) Lehenbauer. On October 17, 1965, he was united in marriage to Linda (Pflantz) Lehenbauer, who survives his passing. David earned his Bachelor degree from the University of Missouri. He was a dedicated farmer and was builder and architect of their family home. David was the president of the Fulton Historical Society, St. Pauls Lutheran Church Board, and North Callaway Fire Department, of which he was a co-founder. He also served on board for the Callaway County Farm Bureau. In addition to his wife, David will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons: Jeffery Lehenbauer and wife Kara of Auxvasse and Steven Lehenbauer and wife Janet of Auxvasse; two daughters: Melinda Heiner and husband John of Highlands Ranch, Colo. and Katie Myers and husband Jason of Manhattan, Kan.; nine grandchildren: Justin Lehenbauer, Kallie Jo Lehenbauer, Olivia Lehenbauer, Amelie Heiner, Oliver Heiner, Ian Heiner, Grace Myers, Drake Myers, Devin Myers; three step-grandchildren: Jamie Rhoades, Craig Floyd, Caleb Floyd; two brothers: Harry Lehenbauer of Auxvasse and Joe Lehenbauer of Fulton; and one sister: Lorretta Redmon and husband Wayne of Hannibal, Mo. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2201 W Rollins Road in Columbia, Mo., with Rev. Kenneth Gerike and Rev. Brian Thieme officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbia, Mo. Interment will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Hatton, Mo.
