Girls' basketball: Clubb, Lady Bulldogs punish St. Elizabeth

MOKANE - South Callaway sophomore guard Paige Clubb tallied a game-high 21 points, including four 3-pointers, to steer the Lady Bulldogs to a 57-32 SMC rout of St. Elizabeth on Tuesday night.

South Callaway - which has won three of its last four - raised its season record to 16-5 and stayed perfect in the Show-Me Conference at 5-0. The Lady Bulldogs bolted to a 19-4 lead after one quarter and then outscored St. Elizabeth 16-6 in the second quarter to open up a 35-10 advantage at halftime.

Freshman guard Raegan Brown also supplied 16 points for South Callaway.

"We came out and shot the ball very well and our defensive effort was there all night," Lady Bulldogs head coach Darren Humphrey said.

Harley Engelmeyer paced St. Elizabeth with 14 points.

South Callaway goes to Fatima for an SMC clash at 6 tonight. The Lady Bulldogs then play St. Clair at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in a rescheduled game at the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Classic at Father Tolton in Columbia.
