Cross country: North Callaway's Moore collects EMO girls' title

KINGDOM CITY - Sophomore Kaleigh Moore secured the girls' individual title with a time of 20 minutes, 1.57 seconds to steer the Ladybirds to a second-place team finish in the Eastern Missouri Conference championships Saturday.

In the boys' varsity division, North Callaway senior Khobi Kellerman came in second in 18:12.85 as the Thunderbirds also finished second overall.

Junior River Nolting was seventh in 22:49.98 for the North Callaway girls, who accumulated 44 points. Sophomore Makenna Allen took 10th in 23:33.59, sophomore Olivia Isaacks placed 17th in 24:48.07, and freshman Piper Jeffries finished 19th in 25:43.29.

Sophomore Noah Scrogum came in 16th in 19:26.16 for the North Callaway boys, who compiled 72 points. Senior Ean Rohrbach was next in 17th in 19:35.00, freshman Jude Greene took 20th in 19:42.66, and sophomore Grant Eichman placed 21st in 19:53.82.

Bowling Green completed a sweep of the EMO girls' and boys' team titles with 20 and 59 points, respectively.

In the mixed junior varsity division, sophomore Drew Rohrbach came in third in 22:02.53 for the North Callaway boys and senior Joshua Craghead was fifth in 23:38.41.

North Callaway runs in the Bowling Green Invitational at 4 p.m. Friday.
