MEXICO - The Bulldogs stunned the Thunderbirds on Cole Whalen's walk-off, two-run home run with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday night.

North Callaway (8-7) overcame an early 1-0 deficit by putting up three runs in the top of the second inning. Mexico (3-10) got a run back in its half of the inning, then took a 4-3 edge by producing three runs in the third.

The Thunderbirds erupted for five runs in the fourth to regain the lead, but the Bulldogs continued the back-and-forth with a run in their half of the inning to close within 8-6. Each team came up with a run in the fifth and North Callaway tallied a run in the top of the sixth to go up 10-7.

Mexico, though, rallied for two runs in the bottom of the sixth and then completed the dramatic victory over the Thunderbirds in the seventh on Whalen's lined shot over the fence in left-center.
