BOONVILLE, Mo. - Both the seventh and eighth grade Fulton Lady Hornets failed to register a win over the weekend at the Laura Speed Elliot (LSE) Tournament.
The seventh grade Lady Hornets bowed out in their match against Saints Peter and Paul 25-19, and 25-17. They split the next match against LSE 20-25 and 25-23. In the final against rival Mexico the Lady Hornets were swept once again 25-22 and 25-11.
Kim Dixon and McKenzey Bartlett contributed six aces apiece over the weekend and Makenna Milam chipped in five.
For the eighth grade team, they fell to St. Peter and Paul 25-10 and 25-8. LSE swept them 25-18 and 25-8, while Mexico was also successful in a sweep with a 25-11 and 25-9 victory.
Kauri Henderson was a leader for the Lady Hornets with four aces and two digs over the weekend. The Lady Hornets will face Southern Boone at home at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
