Junior High Football: Montgomery County 46, North Callaway 34

MONTGOMERY CITY, Mo. - Cody Cash accounted for four touchdowns as the North Callaway Thunderbirds suffered their first loss of the season Tuesday night to the Montgomery County Wildcats.

Cash rushed for 189 yards and two scores, returned a kickoff 65 yards for a touchdown and also picked up an onside kick and raced 51 yards for a score as North Callaway slipped to 3-1 on the season.

Lewis Samuel ran for two touchdowns to guide the Thunderbirds (3-1) to a 36-14 triumph in the seventh-grade game. Payton Olsson threw a 54-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Ray, who also scored on the defensive side when he returned a fumble 78 yards for a touchdown.

Blake Whipple rushed for 49 yards and had a touchdown for North Callaway.

The Thunderbirds play at Southern Boone at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
