Arrowood, Lady Bulldogs breeze past Owensville 10-0

MOKANE, Mo. - South Callaway senior starter Konnor Arrowood tossed a one-hit shutout and struck out eight as the Lady Bulldogs overpowered Owensville 10-0 in five innings Wednesday night.

South Callaway (12-9) tallied two runs in the bottom of the first inning, broke out for four in the third and added two apiece in the fourth and fifth to end the game on the mercy rule.

Arrowood walked none in logging the complete-game victory. She was also 2-for-3 with a double, a run batted in and a run scored.

Senior center fielder Haley Walters went 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBI and scored twice to power the Lady Bulldogs' 10-hit attack. Senior Nicole Horstman - who started at catcher and later moved to shortstop - finished 2-for-3 with three runs scored and senior first baseman Jordan Killion was also 2-for-3 with an RBI.

South Callaway goes to Fatima for a Show-Me Conference matchup at 5 p.m. Friday.
