Softball: South Callaway 9, Russellville 1

RUSSELLVILLE, Mo. - Senior starter Konnor Arrowood went the distance and struck out 15 Russellville Lady Indians in the South Callaway Lady Bulldogs' Show-Me Conference victory Monday night.

Arrowood allowed an unearned run on two hits.

South Callaway (11-9, 4-2 SMC) scored two runs in the second inning, one in the third and three in the top of the fourth to jump out to a 6-0 lead. Russellville came up with it's only run in the bottom of the fourth and the Lady Bulldogs produced three in the fifth.

Arrowood went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double and three runs batted in as South Callaway totaled 17 hits. Senior first baseman Jordan Killion went 3-for-4, while senior catcher Nicole Horstman was 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI and senior center fielder Haley Walters went 2-for-5.

Sophomore right fielder Destiny Musgrove was 2-for-4 with an RBI and senior second baseman Josie Mealy went 2-for-4.

South Callaway hosts a non-conference game against Owensville at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
