Softball: Moberly 10, Fulton 2

The Fulton Lady Hornets dropped a North Central Missouri Conference game to the Moberly Lady Spartans at the high school athletic complex on Monday.

Moberly scored five runs in the first inning and two in the second to take a 7-0 lead. Fulton (5-10) came up with two in the fourth. The Lady Spartans added a run in the fifth and two in the sixth. Freshman reliever Taylor Kettle went 2-for-3 with a triple, a double and a run scored as the Lady Hornets collected five hits.

Senior starter Kendalyn Roesner threw one inning to take the loss for Fulton. She allowed five runs - two earned - on four hits, stuck out one and did not record a walk.

Fulton plays an NCMC game at Boonville at 5 p.m. today.
