Prep Softball: Hannibal 6, Fulton 0

The Fulton Lady Hornets managed only three hits in their North Central Missouri Conference shutout loss to the Hannibal Lady Pirates on Thursday night at the high school athletic complex.

Junior third baseman Kendalyn Roesner went 2-for-3 and sophomore center fielder Grace Sparks was 1-for-3 for Fulton (5-7, 4-3 NCMC).

Hannibal put up a run in the top of the first inning, tallied three in the third and added single runs in the sixth and seventh.

Freshman starter Taylor Kettle suffered the complete-game loss for the Lady Hornets. Kettle surrendered six runs - only two earned - on 11 hits, walked seven and struck out five.

Fulton plays Wright City in the first round of the South Callaway Tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday.
