Prep Volleyball: Hallsville 2, North Callaway 1

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 5 seed North Callaway Ladybirds were eliminated in the opening round of the Class 2, District 7 Tournament by the No. 4 Hallsville Lady Indians 25-15, 11-25, 21-25 on Monday night at Father Tolton.

North Callaway ended its season with a record of 9-15-1.

Senior libero Callista Dollinger paced the Ladybirds with 24 digs, while junior setter Allyson Eichman tallied 19 assists. Senior middle hitter Colleen Meffert produced 13 kills and 20 digs and junior outside hitter Alyssa Moore came up with 20 digs. Junior outside hitter Nicole Emmons produced 19 digs.

"I thought tonight was one of our best games," North Callaway head coach Jessica Hager said. "The girls did an excellent job on defense, which is one of the things we really tried to focus on this season.

"I'm really proud of all of the girls for what they were able to accomplish and improve upon in a short period of time. We are still a young program, but I think we have a lot to look forward to."
