Wrestling: Fulton finishes sixth at Fort Zumwalt North

O'FALLON, Mo. - Junior Tucker Caswell secured a title at 132 pounds as the Fulton Hornets came in sixth as a team at the Fort Zumwalt North Tournament on Saturday.

Senior Devan Hudson also took second place at 138 pounds and junior Colton Bristol was third at 182 to help Fulton tally 247 points. Windsor captured the team championship with 282 points, Warrenton finished second with 262 and Union was third with 259.

Caswell controlled the title match at 132 pounds, scoring a 15-0 technical fall over Fort Zumwalt North's Derick Buda-Smith. Caswell opened the tournament with a pair of pinfall victories - in 1 minute, 5 seconds over Hannibal's Jesse Kitch in the quarterfinals and 3:27 over Mehlville's Tristin Wilder in the semifinals.

Hudson was forced to forfeit the championship at 138 pounds against St. Francis Borgia's Dylan Hellenbusch because of sickness. Hudson delivered a 16-0 technical fall over Warrenton's Jake Trittler in the first round, then pinned Rock Bridge's TJ Daack in 1:06 in the quarterfinals, and posted an 11-5 decision over Liberty (Wentzville's) Trentin Helton in the semifinals.

Bristol downed Battle's Hunter Smith in a 9-3 decision in the third-place match at 182 pounds. Freshman Jackson Caswell also placed fourth at 106 pounds for the Hornets, while junior Solomon Huff took fifth at 126.

Fulton travels to Boonville for its North Central Missouri Conference opener at 6 tonight.
