MOBILE, Ala. — The seventh-ranked Lady Owls eased past Southwestern (Kansas) College 9-0 in the first round of the 38th-annual NAIA women's national championship Tuesday at the Mobile Tennis Center.
No. 10 seed William Woods University — which is making its third consecutive appearance at the national championship — advanced to play No. 7 University of Northwestern Ohio in the second round at 9 this morning. Northwestern earned a first-round bye.
