LEXINGTON - State Fair Community College freshman pitcher Tyler Fennewald improved his season record to 2-1 last Wednesday in the Roadrunners' 13-4 win against Wentworth Military Academy.
Fennewald (New Bloomfield High School) allowed four runs on six hits in five innings, walking two and striking out two. In seven games this season, he has eight strikeouts in 16 innings pitched, including two starts.
Freshman Jacob Clifton (Eldon High School) went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored in the win. He leads the Roadrunners with a .368 batting average (32-for-87) and has 22 runs scored, 15 RBI and eight extra-base hits.
State Fair (21-24) hosts a doubleheader against Wentworth on Tuesday.
