HENDERSON, Tenn. - Senior defender Rochelle Garcia scored an unassisted goal in double overtime to give the WWU Lady Owls an American Midwest Conference victory over the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions on Thursday.
Garcia made her goal in the 101st minute as William Woods University (3-6-1, 2-3 AMC) finished with 12 shots - six on goal - and three corner kicks. Sophomore goalkeeper Rebecca Sturgess recorded four saves.
The Lady Owls play an AMC game at Lyon (Ark.) College at 10 a.m. Saturday.
