Lincoln loses on road against Truman State

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Truman State Bulldogs outrushed Lincoln 241-49 on its way to a 37-0 victory Saturday night against the Blue Tigers in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

Four of Truman State's five touchdowns came on the ground.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Bulldogs got on the scoreboard with 10:05 remaining in the first half on a 28-yard run by Jordan Salima The PAT was good and it was 7-0.

With 4:04 left before halftime, the Bulldogs made it 9-0 when they tackled a Lincoln runner in the end zone for a safety.

On the ensuing series, Truman State went 43 yards on five plays for a touchdown. The score came on a 13-yard pass from Jaden Barr to Salima and the PAT gave the Bulldogs a 16-0 advantage at intermission.

Truman State added two rushing touchdowns in the third quarter - Andy Satulla from a yard out and Salima from 3 yards and it was 30-0 heading into the final period.

The final score of the game came on a 73-yard run by Richard Neboh with 6:04 remaining.

Barr (California High School) finished 16-of-24 passing for 148 yards and a touchdown.

Dennis Vinson was 21-of-34 passing for 148 yards for Lincoln, while Miles Drummond had 40 yards on two receptions to pace the Blue Tigers. Will Randolph had 22 yards on 10 carries for Lincoln.

Lincoln (0-4 overall, 0-2 GLVC) is back in action at 2 p.m. Saturday against Lane at Dwight T. Reed Stadium.
