Fulton Street Fair readies for 2018 event

From St. Louis, Shotgun Creek Band kicked the doors down at their concert last year at the Fulton Street Fair. The country band formed about five years ago and this was their second performance at the annual event. They will play their third concert on the Fifth Street Stage on June 23, starting at 8:30 p.m. Members include (from left) drummer Shawn McSparin, lead guitarist Mike Prost, vocalist and rhythm guitarist Shane Speer, bass player Aaron Evers and guitarist and fiddle player Xavier Koenig.

If you like to hit the bricks, you don't have long to wait.

The Fulton Street Fair is set for June 22-23 on Court Street. New this year is a Saturday afternoon cornhole tournament.

For those feeling lucky, numbered Street Fair buttons are $2 and available at The Callaway Bank and Central Bank or from a committee member. Drawings will be held the week before the fair with the big drawing Saturday night only (Must be present to win for the Saturday night drawings).

Mule Bingo, 4:30 p.m., purchase a bingo number from a committee member and join the fun at Fifth and Court streets.

Mule Derby, 5:30 p.m., see who wins the rivalry this year, Fifth and Court.

Music, Fifth Street Stage, Murphy's Ford 6-8 p.m., Soul Route 8-10 p.m.

Hot Air Balloon Glow, 7:30 p.m., Memorial Park.

Saturday

Street Fair 5K and youth mile, 7:30 a.m. registration, 8 a.m. start $20 entry, pre register at fultonstreetfair.com, Fifth and Court streets.

Fulton Farmers Market, 9 a.m., Fifth Street.

Kiddie Corral, 10 a.m., ice cream, face painting, balloon animals, magic show, petting zoo and more at Memorial Park.

Touch A Truck, 10 a.m., at Memorial Park.

Crafts and Food Vendors, 10 a.m., Court Street.

Cornhole Tournament, 1 p.m. registration, in front of Fifth Street stage, $40 for two-person team to benefit Super Sam Foundation.
