KINGDOM CITY -The North Callaway Board of Education moved one step closer toward a potential November 2014 bond issue during Thursday night's regular meeting.
Principal architect Cary Gampher and intern architect/project manager Leslie Backstrom with The Architects Alliance returned during the meeting to give the board another look at options for various proposed improvements throughout the district.
Although much of the presentation was similar to the pair's previous presentation on Jan. 17, there were a few adjustments made based on feedback from the board and district staff. The primary difference in Thursday night's presentation was the inclusion of price tags.
Gampher and Backstrom presented multiple options and configurations for the high school, including:
•Renovation of existing science classrooms with an estimated cost range of $31,200-$62,400.
•A new agricultural building with two project labs, office space, a computer lab and a kitchen lab had an estimated cost range of $1.46 million to $1.73 million.
•Track rebuild with an estimated cost range of $840,00-$924,000 with a grass field and $1.2 million to $1.38 million with a turf field.

•Four different options for additions to the high school which would include new science labs, restrooms, a new locker room and new classroom space with estimated costs ranging from $788,400-$3.05 million
